UF Graduate Research Award

The University of Florida College of the Arts (COTA) graduate research award empowers students to pursue research activities, develop as artists and/or art educators and connect with others in the field.

We strive to offer support for a wide range of opportunities. Students in UF’s online Art Education Master’s program can apply for this award to help cover expenses related to attending and presenting at conferences, conducting research or fieldwork, and other forms of professional development.

Applying for the Graduate Research Award

Current students can start the application process for this award by clicking here. If you are approved for the award, you will receive notification from COTA within two weeks. Award amounts vary by the location and time spent. However, they often fall within the following ranges:

  • $200 to $500 for domestic travel
  • $500 to $700 for international travel

All interested students are encouraged to apply for the research award. While funding priority is typically given to students who will present at national conferences, or be conducting research, UF is committed to supporting professional development as much as possible.

All award applications and travel authorizations must be made prior to travel. The University of Florida is not able to make retroactive reimbursements.
